This grit guard is designed for placement at the bottom of a standard big box store 5 gallon bucket to capture dirt and prevent scratching while washing your car. This design is a remix of @CherryPickerSocerer's grit guard, which was inspired by the Chemical Guys design. I added a center foot after reading some of the build comments on the original which noted that the glue joints failed while in use. The center foot on this design should improve the robustness of the assembled print. Print instructions: Does not require supports. Print Grid_Guard_10in_Third_w_center_foot.stl three times and glue together to create the final grit guard. I printed with ABS at 30% infill (although with the number of walls and resolution I chose I believe it was the same as 100% infill), which took 174 grams of filament for all three prints. If you choose to print with settings resulting in reduced infill, particularly while printing PLA, be aware that the grit guard may float.
