Protects your filament from dust and humidity, especially during long prints. Also consider using it with this magnetic silica gel basket. This door does not require any modifications or extra parts for the printer body. It uses a 10mm wide x 1mm thick magnetic strip tape along all the entire border, sealing the filament compartment from the humidity. (It gets easy after a few tries!)Assembly InstructionsDrilling the holesDo not remove the protective sheet from the plexiglass plate. If you already did, put some painter's masking tape where you will be drilling holes.Mark the center of the shorter (top) side of the plexiglass with a marker (160mm from either side).Put the drilling template so the L-shaped rim is hooked to the top side of the plate, and the linear cut in the middle of the template is aligned with the center-marking from the step 2.Using the thinner (1.5-2.0mm) drill bit, drill two guide-holes through the tiny holes on the template. Remove the template and carefully widen the two holes with a 3mm drill-bit. Use a manual drill, or a slow-turning accu-drill.Make a countersink for the screws, using the countersink drill-bit. The top of the opening needs to be 5mm wide.Remove the masking tape and/or the protective sheet from the plexiglass.Installing the magnetic stripCut two pieces of the magnetic strip, each 360mm long.Remove the protective tape and glue each piece along the longer sides*.Cut two pieces of the magnetic strip, each 300mm long.Remove the protective tape and glue each piece along the shorter sides*.* While gluing the magnetic strip, do not remove the protective tape all at once! Peel off just enough so you could start fixing the tape to the plexiglass, and carefully peel off the rest as you progress. Use your thumb and index finger to guide the magnetic tape along the very border. Mounting the handleFix the handle using two D3 x 10mm screws for plastic, with countersunk head.Mounting the hygrometerCut and glue a thin strip of the double-sided adhesive tape and glue it along the frame of the hygrometer.Install the hygrometer 40mm from the top, and 23mm from the side.
