The shape of this hook is tuned to closely fit a Kala Soprano Ukelele, with just a little bit of wiggle. It may fit other ukeleles well too, but there is quite a bit of variation in uke neck sizes, so check the following measurements before printing to roughly check whether it will fit. Fretboard at the topmost fret wire should be no wider than 36mm.Headstock width (left–right) at 10mm above the fretboard should be about 40mm, and flare out (about a 20-30° angle) toward the top. Headstock thickness (front–back) just below the tuning pegs should be 10-12mm, and increase slightly as it meets the fretboard.Headstock should lean back from the neck a little, about a 15° angle. Ukes that meet this description should fit very well. If you’re not sure, don't be afraid to just try and see. We should always avoid waste, but it’s not a huge investment of filament to run a test on this small part. If your uke is about the right shape, but too big or small, you can try scaling the model slightly (95%–105%) in one or more dimensions. You might need to print several times to get a perfect fit, so keep detailed notes to avoid wasting filament unnecessarily. A free account may be required to make changes and download a custom STL. For FDM printers, this model is best printed top-side down so there are no tricky overhangs.
