Plastic bags with a vacuum valve are very helpful for storing filaments in a dry condition. Pressing the pump onto the valve during vacuuming is unavoidable, but closes the airway. To make this process easier, I have designed this little helper. The disc keeps a passage free to pump the bags empty. With some double-sided adhesive tape the position holds better. Option 1 (30 mm. Bottom closed.)That's how it started. It works well with a small pump. Outer diameter: 30 mm (minus 1 mm for the chamfer.) Option 2 (30 mm. Bottom with hole.)I added a whole into the bottom. Seeing through the centre hole, aligning the tool better in the centre. Outer diameter: 30 mm (minus 1 mm for the chamfer.) Option 3 (Diameter = 40 mm. Bottom with hole.)The larger diameter supports larger pumps. Option 3 has also the whole, improving the alignment of the tool. Outer diameter: 40 mm (minus 1 mm for the chamfer.)
