Your euro mount, as a replica
Skull and antlers reproduced from a 3D scan, at a size that fits a desk or a shelf.
Your idea, made real
A European mount is a big thing to have on a wall, and there is only one of it. A scale replica printed from a 3D scan of the real skull and antlers gives you one for the office or the bach, or one for whoever was there on the day. This is a job we have been asked about, and with a scan to work from it is one of the most accurate pieces we can make, because the shape comes from the real thing rather than from photos.
Scans of antlers are rarely clean. Tines come out lumpy or full of holes, and the inside of the skull is often missing. We repair the scan, close it up and keep the shape true to the original, then check that the thinnest tines will survive at the size you have chosen, and tell you where anything would need thickening.
Without a scan we can still work from good photos, but a scan is what makes it a true replica rather than a close likeness. If yours is rough, send it anyway and we will tell you honestly what it is good for.
You see the cleaned model before it is printed. It is then printed in full colour, or in a single colour you can leave plain or paint.
The quote comes back within one working day, with a lead time that depends mostly on how much cleaning up the scan needs. Once printed, it is posted tracked anywhere in New Zealand.
Yes. Red deer, fallow, sika, whitetail and wapiti, and horned animals such as tahr and chamois, are all the same job: a scan or good photos, then a cleaned model and a print.
Many phones can run a scanning app that does a reasonable job of an object this size, and a scanning service will do a better one. Failing both, detailed photos from every side let us model it as a close likeness rather than an exact replica.
At small sizes the thinnest tines are the weak point. We check them at your chosen size before printing and will tell you if a slightly larger replica would be noticeably sturdier.
You have the files for a display figure. We resin print it, put it together and hand paint it.
A realistic full-body figurine of your dog, from photos, with the real coat colours and markings.
Your own 2D character art, sculpted in 3D and printed as a smooth master for moulding and casting.
A painted replica of the fish you caught, from photos and its length, for the shelf or the wall.
