This 3D model is designed for a robust and functional filament spool holder, optimized for 3D printing in PETG to ensure high durability and heat resistance, particularly suited for environments with higher temperatures. The design incorporates a gyroid infill at 20%, balancing strength and material efficiency. The holder is engineered to be mounted on two 3/4-inch steel tubes, providing excellent stability and weight support for heavy spools. The structure is secured using two screws and cleats measuring 1" x 1/8", ensuring a tight and reliable fit. The model is carefully dimensioned to allow smooth spool rotation and easy filament feed during 3D printing processes, making it an ideal accessory for efficient material management in your 3D printing setup. You will need 185 gr of PETG per pair, recommended to use 1 spool holder every 85 cm. Update: some of you are asking if the spool holder design works for unpackaged spools.
