My foldable Yeelight Z1 lamp broke at the joint where the hinge is also located. I disassembled the lamp, measured the broken part, drew it in Fusion 360, printed it using PETG (more about the material below), and reassembled it. It was a bit of a hassle, but in the end, it turned out to be one of the more interesting projects. Lamp Disassembly: First, you need to unscrew the small screw on the vertical part (pole) of the lamp. Then, on the bottom of the base, peel off the three anti-slip rubber stickers, underneath which are a total of 6 screws. Once the bottom cover is removed, the internals and PCB are exposed. Next, you need to unscrew the 2 screws securing the lamp pole to the base. The thicker black cable leading into the pole needs to be desoldered from the PCB to completely separate the pole from the base. By using a thin, long rod inserted from the bottom of the pole, you can then push out the broken part. Regarding the material: My printer only supports PETG and PLA, so I used PETG, but the metal part representing the hinge slightly rotates within the printed part. It’s supposed to be static. Therefore, consider using a harder material, possibly ASA or ABS, though I have no experience with these.
